RoboCupJunior Rescue Simulation 2027

The RoboCupJunior Rescue Simulation runs on the Webots-based Erebus platform. A virtual robot must explore and map a maze, find wall tokens (smiley victims and cognitive targets) and report their positions together with a map of the field. The field has four areas: Areas 1 to 3 are tile-based mazes and Area 4 (optional) is not tile-based. The robot must avoid holes, cross swamps and obstacles, and can restart from the last checkpoint (silver tile). Each game is 8 minutes of simulated time, with a 10-minute real-time limit.

What's new in 2027:

• Letter victims are replaced by smiley face victims: sad = harmed, neutral = stable, happy = unharmed.

• New battery: it drains with motor speed and is shown above the timers. The game ends if the battery runs out.

• New contact tiles (cyan): the robot stays still on one for 5 seconds to get a new battery. They are marked 'k' in the submitted map.

• Swamps now drain the battery faster instead of speeding up the simulation time.

RoboCupJunior Egypt: teams are ranked on the game field runs only. There is no poster and no presentation.
