Rules summary (RoboCupJunior Soccer 2026, Soccer Vision, with the RCJ Egypt changes)

• Teams: two autonomous robots per team. Remote control is not allowed.

• Robots: fit in an 18 cm cylinder, at most 18 cm high. Robots may not be orange, yellow or blue.

• Field: 158 x 219 cm inside the white line, black walls, a yellow goal and a blue goal (60 cm wide). The ball is an orange golf ball.

• Game: 5 minutes, two halves of 2.5 minutes. Teams switch sides at half time. The score difference is limited to 10 goals.

• Kick-off: all robots on their own half. Robots of the team not kicking off stay 30 cm from the ball, outside the centre circle.

• Goal: the ball touches the back wall of the goal. Own goals count for the other team.

• Holding the ball is not allowed. The ball may enter the robot by at most 1.5 cm. A dribbler (rotating drum) is allowed, in Advanced mode.

• Penalty area: no robot may be fully inside. Only one robot of a team may be partly inside (multiple defense).

• Out of bounds: a robot that touches a wall leaves the field for 20 seconds. When play is stuck (lack of progress) the ball moves to a neutral spot.

• Fair play: pushing in the penalty area, and unsporting behaviour, are penalised; the referee can give yellow and red cards.

RoboCupJunior Egypt: Soccer Entry Level runs in Egypt only. It is not an official RoboCup competition, and it does not qualify teams for the RoboCup world finals.
